About 530 Recovery & Everything OFF ROAD
Our Future
At 530 Recovery & Everything OFF ROAD, we aim to protect the environment and promote the teaching of the younger generation about off-road knowledge and safety for future generations. We work towards conserving natural resources and promoting eco-friendly practices.
Our History
In 2016, Dustin Daundivier and Raymond Latham had this vision to build a 4x4 rig capable of going anywhere, aimed at rescuing and recovering those stuck off-road due to less capable vehicles. The Facebook recovery page was launched under a slightly different name and quickly became a success. Sadly, in 2018, co-founder Raymond Latham passed away. Honoring his memory, I continued the mission for a year, but the growing number of recoveries became overwhelming to manage and execute alone. As the community's involvement increased, my best friend Jerry and his son stepped in to help manage the platform. It was then we decided that the name "530 Creepers and Recovery" didn't quite fit, and after much deliberation, we chose "530 RECOVERY & EVERYTHING OFF-ROAD." This marked the beginning of our expansion, including adding local friends to our admin team, allowing Jerry, his son, and me to continue camping. The initiative to clean up started when we noticed the littered river beaches and abandoned burnt vehicles. Initially cleaning a spot for friends and family, our efforts escalated to clearing the entire riverbed, which led to local support and a public proclamation from Yuba County. In 2022, we took the significant step of becoming a non-profit. With growing membership across the 530 area and beyond, we sought leaders in different counties to establish chapters under our organization, furthering our reach and impact.
